Kraków Technology Park
Tax relief for investors within the Kraków Technology Park Sp. z o.o.After more than 20 years of operating special economic zones, the Act of 10 May 2018 on Supporting New Investments introduced changes to the income tax exemption instrument (CIT or PIT) in order to adapt the regulations to the current market situation and the needs of entrepreneurs. The amendment enables companies implementing new investments to benefit from tax exemptions across the entire territory of Poland, both on public and private land, with the exception of areas containing mineral deposits (unless the investment concerns those deposits).
The tasks resulting from the above-mentioned Act are carried out by the entities managing the Special Economic Zones (SEZ). Libiąż falls under the jurisdiction of the manager of the Kraków Technology Park Sp. z o.o.

Tax relief for investors within the Polish Investment Zone
The regulations in this area were amended on 1 January 2022. The revised provisions make it easier for large and medium-sized enterprises to benefit from the Polish Investment Zone instrument. The type of investment will play a significant role, and projects involving modern business services—such as software development, financial and accounting services, or other IT-related services—will receive additional points. Entrepreneurs meeting these criteria may receive up to a 95% reduction in obligatory eligible costs.
As of 1 January 2022, the level of regional aid in Małopolska has increased and amounts to:
– 40% for large enterprises,
– 50% for medium-sized enterprises,
– 60% for small and micro enterprises.Quantitative criteria have also been lowered for entrepreneurs implementing investments in counties where the unemployment rate exceeds the national average. These changes will also apply to newly included areas, meaning that more municipalities in Małopolska will be able to benefit from reduced entry criteria to the Polish Investment Zone. The changes will concern not only towns and municipalities losing socio-economic functions but also their neighbouring municipalities. In Małopolska this includes the following towns: Chrzanów, Gorlice, Nowy Sącz, Nowy Targ, Tarnów, Zakopane, Jędrzejów.
A new investment within the PSI allows for CIT or PIT income tax exemption for a period of 12 or 15 years. The investment may be located on any land (private or public). Check the rules for obtaining a tax relief for your company (on the Kraków Technology Park website).
Entrepreneurs wishing to benefit from the Polish Investment Zone tax relief in Małopolska may contact the Investor Support Department of the Kraków Technology Park:
